DMCA & Copyright Policy

Afromack respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects site users to do the same. If you believe that content hosted or linked on Afromack infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure below so we can quickly investigate and respond.

How to submit a DMCA takedown notice

  1. Send a written notice to our DMCA agent at dmca@afromack.com with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Notice”.
  2. Your notice must include:
    • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent;
    • Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to be infringed;
    • Identification of the infringing material and its exact location on our site (URL(s));
    • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email);
    • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
    • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  3. We will respond as required by law, which may include removing or disabling access to the material and notifying the user who posted it. We may also forward your notice to the user and provide contact details so they can submit a counter-notice if they believe the content was removed in error.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was done by mistake, you may send a counter-notice. Your counter-notice should include:

  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification;
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email;
  • Identification of the removed material and its previous location;
  • A statement consenting to local federal court jurisdiction (or the jurisdiction where your address is located) and consenting to accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.
